Demo Curling Club kicked off the fall with a lively Welcome Party for members and the public. The evening featured icebreaker games, light refreshments, facility tours, and fun activities designed to reconnect old friends and introduce new faces to the club.
Guests enjoyed short “mini matches” on the ice, a club trivia contest, and a raffle for curling gear. The lounge buzzed with conversation as members swapped summer stories and looked ahead to the season’s bonspiels and leagues.
Even better, this fall brought a 25% increase in early registrations compared to last year. New curlers, returning members, and curious newcomers signed up in strong numbers, showing that enthusiasm for curling continues to grow.
The welcome night was about more than sign-ups — it was a celebration of community. Seeing so many people laughing, sweeping, and sliding together reminded us what curling is all about: friendship, teamwork, and fun.
Thanks to everyone who joined us for the kickoff, and to the volunteers who organized food, games, and ice prep. The season is off to a strong start — here’s to great curling ahead!
